|Syria: Report on ‘Industrial Scale’ killing of detainees
Desmond de Silva, QC - the former prosecutor of the Special Court
for Sierra Leone - led an investigation of international lawyers into
the evidence of ‘systemic killing’ of 11,000 detainees by Bashar Al
Assad’s security forces.
These came to light through a cache of evidence smuggled out of the
country. Most of the victims were emaciated, bloodstained and bore
signs of torture.
Sir Desmond will talk through his findings and report back on the outcome of the Report at the Geneva Peace Conference.
